These Dangerous Goods Labels , also known as Hazardous Chemical Labels , are an essential tool for warning handlers of the potential dangers associated with Class 5.1 oxidizing substances. These substances may not be combustible on their own, but their high oxygen content can cause or contribute to the combustion of other materials. This can lead to fires, making it crucial for handlers to be aware of their presence and take necessary precautions. Class 5.1 oxidizing substances, such as Ammonium Nitrate, Hydrogen Peroxide, Potassium Permanganate, and Calcium Hypochlorite, are reactive materials that can react with other flammable or combustible substances, generating heat and fuelling fires. The oxidizing agents in these substances provide the oxygen needed to sustain a fire without any additional help from the air.
