The Omni 15.5mm wide polyester strapping is a strong and durable strap used to secure very heavy loads such as tiles, scaffolding, bricks, and timber. This 0.9mm thick PET strapping has a high breaking strain of 550kg.
Also known as PET strapping, the polyester strap is made of heavy-grade material with a high tensile and elongation of 9 to 15%. This makes it ideal for securing loads that may settle, expand, or contract during transportation. The elongation of the strap helps to reduce the impact of sudden movement.
The product is green with a smooth finish. In our extensive range, we also offer embossed straps and various widths and grades to suit different load types and applications.
A safe alternative to steel strapping
It is becoming a popular alternative to steel strapping as it isn't sharp like metal and doesn't have the tendency to flick which can cause hazards. Polyester is also a non-corrosive material which makes it ideal for outdoor applications such as securing cargo on shipping containers, construction materials, and marine vessels. It is also great for strapping loads of fragile items such as glass, wood, and metal.
Tools and dispensing
This heavy-duty strap is mainly used for machine application rather than with manual tools. The Omni 184 PET sealless strapping tool is often used as an automated solution. These rolls are made to suit the strapping dispenser trolleys which make transporting and dispensing quick and easy.
