Filament Tape Omni 505 Two Way 48mm x 50m

The Filament Tape Omni 505 Two Way 48mm x 50m is an extremely high tensile tape designed for heavy duty carton sealing and strapping applications. This two way filament tape features fibreglass reinforcement filaments on the adhesive backing, woven in both directions to provide superior strength and tear resistance.

These woven strips make the tape strong enough to handle pressure when carrying heavy loads. The tape does not stretch, making it ideal for bundling applications. It is commonly used as a heavy duty alternative to regular packaging tape, especially for sealing boxes containing heavy and delicate products that require maximum support during shipping.

Two way filament tape is also known as cross wove filament tape, with reinforcement in both directions to prevent splitting lengthways. This provides an advantage over one way filament tape, which only has reinforcement in a single direction and may split lengthways.

One way filament tape is a more economical option with fibreglass reinforcement in one direction, but it does not offer the same resistance to splitting as two way tape. Two way tape offers higher strength and durability, although it comes at a slightly higher cost.

Both one way and two way filament tapes are available in various widths from 12mm to 96mm, with 48mm being the most common size for box sealing applications. These tapes can be applied using a regular tape gun or a specialised filament tape dispenser.
